Which academic path should you take beginning in grade 10 to prepare you for university-level study abroad?

Concerned about getting into a good university overseas for your undergraduate or graduate studies? Which track should you choose after 10th grade? Learn from us in depth, and you may put your worries to rest.

The results for the 10th grade are out, and they have everyone talking. You put in long hours every day, and now you're reaping the rewards of your labor. Your objectives and level of clarity will be determined by the outcome. Do you know what you're going to do now? What subject should I choose for my ICSE/CBSE 10th grade? I'll ask the age-old question: "Which is more important, science or business?" So, what do you say?

There is beauty and worth in every river. Some may generalize that Science is superior to both business and the arts, while others may justify the assertion by claiming that the arts belong to creative types who ponder profound questions, while business is best left to the analytically minded.

In this piece, I've attempted to provide a high-level overview of the significance of any topic you could select after completing your 10th grade education, with the hope that it would aid in your preparation for a bachelor's or master's degree program in a foreign country.

We are not, however, suggesting that you begin planning for a four-year college or university in another country in the eleventh grade. After you graduate high school, you'll have more time to prepare for it. However, the point is to take charge of your own destiny and figure out where you want to go.

But before we get started, I want to stress how you should never pick a major because your parents or guardians are pressuring you to, your neighbor aunty's son suggested it because he thinks it's job-oriented, or your friends are eager to pick that major so you can all stick together forever.

So, let’s start...

1. Career opportunities abroad if you choose Science after 10th

You should pursue a career in Science if you have a genuine interest in the subject and the perseverance to learn as much as possible.

Science is often divided into "pure" and "basic" subfields after the tenth grade. The three disciplines that make up pure science are physics, chemistry, and mathematics (abbreviated PCM). At other times, PCM will include biology and be referred to as PCMB. And PCB stands for "Physics, Chemistry, and Biology," the three pillars of "Basic Science."
  • Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Botany, Zoology, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, and Sociology are all disciplines that may be pursued as part of a PCB program, however they are not considered "professional" degrees. There is a path from master's (MSc) to doctorate (Ph.D.).

  • Degree programs in PCM/PCMB may lead to careers in fields as diverse as biotechnology, bioinformatics, chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, pharmaceutical science, aerospace engineering, and more. One may continue their education from a master's to a doctorate with a ME or M.Tech.

There are several sub-subjects inside each major; for example, if you wish to get your master's in Mechanical Engineering from CQ University in Australia, you'll discover that they offer two different options: a Graduate Certificate and a Graduate Diploma in Asset and Maintenance Management.

Birmingham City University offers many bachelor's degrees in telecommunications, including Telecommunications and Networks Foundation and Broadcast and Communications Engineering (BEng Hons).

In addition, the University of East London offers a variety of bachelor's degrees in computer science, including Computer Game Development BSc, Computer Game Design BSc, and Computing for Business BSc.

The aforementioned are only a few instances among many; please feel free to peruse our website for further information. You may also get university brochures in PDF format.

2. Career opportunities abroad if you choose Commerce after 10th

After completing high school, students have the option of majoring in either Business or Economics with a focus on Commerce.

If you decide to major in Commerce with Business, you will take courses in accounting, finance, business, and mathematics. A BBA, B.Com, or BA in Economics, as well as CFA, CA, ICWA, and CFP, may be more accessible after completing this program.

Some students major in Science but end up realizing they would have been better off by studying finance instead. As long as there is a lack of focus and pupils fail to see their own abilities, the phrase "could have been" will remain in use.

You may get a Graduate Diploma in Commerce, a Master of Commerce with a Banking concentration, a Master of Commerce with a Big Data in Business emphasis, and so on at the University of Sydney.

Three different concentrations of the Master of Commerce degree are available at the University of Queensland: Applied Finance, Information Systems, and Professional Accounting.
